We’re pleased to share that Sheffield Technology Parks (STP) — one of our Ecosystem Partners — is now offering its programme of expert 1:1 drop-in sessions to startup, micro and small Sheffield Digital members.
These drop-ins are an established part of STP’s support for early-stage startups and scaling businesses based at the Tech Parks or part of its business incubator, the Cooper Project. If you’re a member of Sheffield Digital, whether as a startup, micro or small business, you can now access these sessions too, free of charge.
What’s on offer?
The drop-ins cover key areas that founders and growing businesses often need advice on, including: legal, asset management, investment, international trade, insurance, cybersecurity, funding and scale-up support.
Each session is hosted by a trusted expert in their field, and they’re all well-versed in working with early-stage startups, scaleups and established businesses in the digital industries. You can use the sessions to get clarity on a specific question, talk through a challenge, or just get a better sense of what your business might need to consider as it grows, all in total confidence.
The organisations delivering these drop-ins are:
- Shakespeare Martineau
- Anticus Partners
- Mercia Assets Management
- Business Enterprise Fund
- MGRW New Accountants
- Shorts Accountants
- MFL Insurance
- Northern Gritstone
- Department of Business and Trade
- Relatable Security
- Business Sheffield
Sessions run on a bi-monthly basis, and each expert is available for 30 minute, informal conversations — there’s no charge and absolutely no pressure to use the provider beyond the free session.
How to access the sessions
Drop-ins are hosted at Sheffield Technology Parks, based in the city centre close to the train station and Sheffield Hallam University’s city campus. If you’re a Sheffield Digital member and would like to find out what sessions are coming up each month, just get in touch with Emma Marshall who will add you to a monthly mailout, providing this information. She’ll give you clear instructions to book yourself on to a session.
Not a Sheffield Digital member yet? Find out what else is on offer to our members on our membership page, and contact Emma to discuss which membership package is right for you.
This is a great chance to make the most of the support that’s available locally — whether you’re just starting out, ready to scale or preparing to go global!
