About the Children’s Media Conference

This is the only event of its kind in the UK, taking place on our doorstep right here in Sheffield on 2-4 July 2019. The Children’s Media Conference is for everyone working in kids content production and distribution, across all platforms.

Since 2004, the conference has welcomed delegates from film, TV, radio, interactive media, games, licensing, toys, book and magazine publishing, the arts and culture sector and educational media.

It’s the only time when delegates from across the whole industry get together, making it a must if you want to learn, share, network and explore future opportunities for work and collaboration.

This year, organisers are expecting more than 1100 delegates and over 200 speakers and experts across 60 sessions. This includes Nadiya Hussain, Great British Bake Off winner and Junior Bake Off judge, who will deliver the opening keynote.

Not sure if it’s for you?

Take a look at footage from last year’s conference including the opening keynote from children’s novelist, poet, broadcaster, columnist and former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen. You can also get a feel for who goes to the Children’s Media Conference and how it’s helped them in this feature: “What Has the CMC Ever Done for Me?”.
