The Curve opens first regional office in Leeds

Exciting expansion news from the 28-strong team.

The Curve, the Sheffield-based software consultancy, has expanded into Leeds to serve growing demand for its ‘chips to cloud’ technology development across the North of England. This is an exciting move for the company – featured recently in a Company Spotlight – and we’re thrilled to see the team’s expansion. You can read more in the press release below.

The fast-growing company, which helps organisations build business-critical systems, embed connected devices and develop IoT solutions, has taken space at Platform, the tech and science hub next to Leeds train station. The company has also appointed Alina Eden Cornea as regional partnerships and growth lead to support the expansion.

Co-founder and CEO Paul Ridgway said: “We’ve been building relationships in Leeds throughout the year, hosting events and engaging with the local tech community, including at the Leeds Digital Ball. The response has been fantastic, and there’s clearly strong demand for the complete technology solutions we deliver.

“Alina already knows the region well and brings genuine passion for connecting people and communities. Having her on the ground in Leeds means we can strengthen existing relationships and stay closely connected to the local ecosystem as we grow.”

Alina brings cross-sector expertise spanning chemical engineering, manufacturing, logistics, electronics and telecommunications. She started coding and 3D modelling at age 11 and combines deep technical knowledge with proven business development skills.

“I’m as much of a people person as I am a techie,” said Alina. “I took this position because I’m highly technical and experienced in understanding the different pains and challenges across different sectors. I enjoy talking to people, understanding their needs, and offering the right solution.

“Because The Curve creates everything bespoke, solutions can be tailored to different businesses. We’ve seen this demand firsthand and are proving we can deliver, regardless of complexity.”

The Leeds expansion follows The Curve’s 49 per cent increase in annual turnover to £1.76 million after a series of strategic contract wins with national and international clients. The company is growing organically and is creating 10 new technical roles over the next year. The team has grown to 28 people.
