Sheffield’s celebration of creativity for young audiences returns to the city next month. Children’s Media Conference Live 2025 runs across multiple venues from Tuesday 8 – Thursday 10 July 2025, with fringe activity spilling across the week. Children’s Media Conference Live 2025 (CMC 2025) is the one UK event that brings together everyone who creates, commissions, and distributes content for audiences aged 0‑18 – from broadcast and streaming to interactive games, publishing, toys, and digital arts.
This year’s theme – ‘Shake it up’ – is a nod to the times we’re living through, from global shifts to seismic changes within the children’s media industry. CMC 2025 promises to “…explore every possible way to shake up your thinking and help find new ways to serve kids the best possible life-enhancing content, while securing the finance needed to achieve that… in distinctly shaky times!”
What’s on the agenda?
CMC 2025 is crammed with unique and thought-provoking sessions, with the headliners including:
- CMC’s Opening Keynote: Screenwriter, award-winning novelist and Waterstones Children’s Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce.
- CMC’s Creative Keynote: A celebration of the enduring power of Paddington, from books, to film, to TV, to the live experience.
- And the CMC’s The Last Word from the inimitable Basil Brush!
