Start your Friday with #GeekBrekky Mel KanarekEvents17th September 20151#GeekBrekkybreakfasteventmeet-upnetworking Susanne Nilsson If you follow us on Twitter, you might notice tweets about #GeekBrekky. This is a very informal meet-up over breakfast on Friday mornings, at the lovely Tamper Coffee on Arundel Street. Folks usually show up around 9am and stay as long as they like – everyone is welcome. It’s just a great opportunity to get together, chat about what’s new, make new contacts, share ideas, eat great food and drink even better coffee. #GeekBrekky was instigated by Chris Dymond and he’s now asked if Sheffield Digital can take over the tweeting. So expect reminders on a Thursday evening – or just stick it in your calendar as a regular Friday event and show up when you can. Hope to see you there some time – mine’s a flat white.

Chris Dymond I must point out that Geek Breakfast in Sheffield pre-dates my recent revival of it by many years! Local digerati were getting together for breakfast from at least 10 years ago – the likes of Tim Duckett, Dan Sumption, James Boardwell, Aden Davies, Greg Povey, Erica Packington, Saul Cozens, Frankie Roberto, Tom Stafford were frequent visitors. Can anyone remember who else? 0 Reply 24th September 2015
