Organic Search Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Organic Search team for a Organic Search Lead with strong on-site and off-site search knowledge and great strategy skills.

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years’ SEO experience who can join our team as soon as possible, as we look to grow our Organic Search service in the coming years and months.

Evoluted is a leading full-service digital agency based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We specialise in results-focused digital marketing, bespoke web development and digital design for recognised brands and SMEs across the UK.

The Organic Search Lead will work closely with the Head of Organic Search to ensure we are delivering data-driven, business focused and industry-leading organic strategies for our clients. Alongside managing key accounts and working across the team, the Organic Search Lead will also support in the development of the service, ensuring we are market leading, have defined processes and stay abreast of industry developments.

We’re looking for someone who has strong knowledge of on-site content strategies and how to drive visibility in the SERPs, but can also hold their own in technical SEO discussions and understands how off-site strategies like digital PR can drive performance.

Key responsibilities for this role:

Client Accounts 

  • Manage a handful of your own key accounts where you are the direct strategist and client contact, setting and delivering the strategy on behalf of your clients
  • Working across a mix of technical SEO, on-site content and digital PR strategies and working with specialists in these areas to ensure our strategies are cohesive
  • Planning required account delivery into Asana and assigning the relevant people and set deadlines
  • Leading on monthly calls and other required meetings to ensure clients have clear communication and understanding of our work
  • Working closely with the organic support on your client accounts to ensure work is being delivered effectively and efficiently

Organic & Strategy Leadership

  • Be a go-to member of the team for organic search and strategy knowledge, ensuring we are taking a focused, uniform approach to all of our strategies and upholding levels of quality
  • Lead the strategy development of our larger organic search accounts, working closely with strategists and execs across tech SEO, content and digital PR to ensure our approach maximises available search opportunities, aligns with business goals and delivers ROI
  • Set data-backed and realistic KPIs to be achieved by our account teams, monitoring our progress towards these throughout the year
  • Overseeing Asana boards for our key accounts and supporting the account lead with the planning of these
  • Review the work of our key account teams month-on-month to ensure all of our ongoing tasks and projects are intentional and feed into the aims of the overall strategy
  • Review reports from key accounts and support with the spot-checking of smaller account reports
  • Be present in strategy meetings, review meetings and other vital meetings for our key accounts, supporting the account lead with the prep and delivery of these
  • Signing off and feeding back on smaller scale strategies, ensuring they follow our strategic processes
  • Have an eye across accounts at regular intervals to spot any issues with performance or strategy
  • Support the Head of Organic Search with training and knowledge sharing opportunities across the team
  • Report back monthly to the Head of Organic Search on the performance of our accounts
  • Support the Head of Organic Search with leading team meetings and away days where required

Service Growth

  • Supporting the Head of Organic Search with the growth of the Organic Search service by:
    • Developing our processes across the department focusing on strategy, reporting and more
    • Supporting with the marketing of the department and contributing ideas on how we can set ourselves apart from competition
    • Staying on-top of industry trends and looking for opportunities to develop yours and the team’s knowledge across strategy, tech SEO, content and digital PR
    • Supporting with new business development and contributing to organic search pitches
    • Looking for opportunities to upsell to existing clients either through increase retainer values or one-off projects
