IT Services at the University of Sheffield is undergoing an exciting transformation. We’re establishing ourselves as a key enterprise IT partner, delivering innovative products and services that support over 30,000 students and staff in their education, research, and workplace activities.
We’re looking for an exceptional Salesforce Development Team Leader to join our Technology function and lead a talented team of developers and administrators in maintaining and evolving our Salesforce platform
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and inspire a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Drive technical standards across all Salesforce development and administration activities
- Collaborate strategically with Product Managers, Delivery Leads, and stakeholders to shape roadmaps and deliver value
- Develop and maintain systems within Salesforce, including Marketing and Education Cloud
- Champion best practice in software development, working with integration, platform, and solutions architecture teams
- Build capabilities by creating professional development opportunities that keep your team’s skills current and cutting-edge
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in agile projects and Scrum teams
- Lead and inspire a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- A degree in a related field or substantial equivalent professional experience
- Proven leadership experience building and managing successful, high-performing teams
- Deep Salesforce expertise in both development and administration
- Significant experience with full agile lifecycle product development
- Strong technical skills in designing, building, and maintaining complex software systems
- Experience with APIs, databases, and data management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A passion for driving continuous improvement and delivering quality software
