The .NET Technology Consultancy

What’s the difference between a functional product and a truly transformative one? The team behind it.

We’re looking for a seasoned, hands-on Software Engineer, someone who doesn’t just write code, but lives and breathes the craft. If you have a real passion for building and solving complex problems with elegance, then this could just be the perfect role for you.

This isn’t a role for someone who needs to follow a rigid checklist. We need an engineer with personality, spark and energy who is ready to make a massive impact.

The Challenge
You will drive the technical direction of products that are cutting-edge, modern, and exciting.

Do you have an unshakeable hunger for the GenAI space? Good. We’re working with the technology of the future, not the past. You will be the one driving our innovation mindset, always keen to stay ahead of the curve and identifying ways in which the latest tools and tech can fundamentally evolve our products.

Forget analysis paralysis; you’re a pragmatic, “give it a go” person. You’re up for testing things out, spiking solutions fast to get the proof, and delivering high-value iterations. You are intensely productive and have a bias to action, laser focused on value and outcome.

Who We’re Looking For
You are more than just a back-end expert.

You are an experienced, hands-on engineer who thrives on turning complex ideas into reality.

You have a genuine passion and hunger for the GenAI space and see technology as a way to solve real business problems.

You can handle yourself in front of clients, able to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives, and you work seamlessly with dev teams to unblock progress.

If you have the experience, the spark, and the passion to build our next chapter and if you love what we do, we can’t wait to hear from you.

Overview
At Razor and DataQI, our mission is to cut through the hype and deliver products that drive genuine value for enterprise clients. We don’t build generic tools—we craft deeply integrated, sector‑specific solutions that unlock measurable P&L performance across manufacturing and other high‑value industries.

Our Senior Engineers are hands‑on technologists who lead by example. As a Senior Engineer (AI) you will combine deep software engineering expertise with a passion for generative AI to take early-stage concepts and turn them into powerful, production‑ready solutions.

You will act as a catalyst for innovation, rapidly prototyping new ideas, guiding engineering teams, and working closely with sales and product teams to align cutting‑edge tech with business outcomes.

This role is UK‑based and requires a charismatic engineer who can inspire colleagues, engage clients, and stay on top of the latest GenAI developments.

> Experience building or integrating AI/ML systems and the ability to translate generative AI research into practical, domain‑specific solutions.

> Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.

> Ability to create scalable, efficient and maintainable designs that meet functional and non‑functional requirements.

> Understanding of branching strategies (e.g. GitFlow) and experience working in cross‑functional teams.

> Awareness of code security and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10) and best practices for protecting sensitive data.

> Experience delivering complex solutions; consulting, team leadership, manufacturing domain knowledge are all a bonus.

> Commitment to staying on top of relevant technical skills and contributing to the continual improvement of Razor’s engineering standards.

> Engage clients, teams and stakeholders, demonstrating prototypes and translating complex concepts into business‑focused narratives.

> Rapidly spike and test ideas to validate hypotheses before scaling.

> Provide technical support to the engineering team. >

> Offer top‑down estimates, unblock progress, and ensure coding standards align with Razor’s engineering best practices.

Leadership and Behaviour

> Communicate complex concepts in compelling narratives and inspire trust with clients and stakeholders.

> Independent technical decision making.

Commercial awareness

> Understand the commercial impact of technical decisions and align innovation with business goals.

> Focus on delivering solutions that provide measurable ROI and improve customers’ bottom lines.

> Informed estimation and raising awareness of discrepancies and slippage.

As a Senior Engineer at Razor you will not only write code but help us stay at the cutting edge while delivering practical, trusted solutions that make our clients’ businesses better. If you’re ready to be part of a company where innovation and sector‑specific expertise converge, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a UK based role.
