NetShape® teaches robots to cut, grind, polish and inspect metal

About Rivelin
Rivelin’s mission is to bring advanced robotics to the mainstream. We exist to unlock the automation of jobs that are too hazardous, too strenuous or just too unpleasant to do by hand. It takes a human craftsman years to learn machining and metalworking, a skilled trade which is vital for manufacturing the things we use every day. As jobseekers’ priorities continue to move away from manual work, we hope to smooth the transition to simpler, safer and cleaner digital manufacturing through the power of software, mechatronics and AI.

We are looking for resourceful and collaborative optimists who don’t see roadblocks but instead see stepping stones to success. You will join a team of growth-minded individuals who embrace challenges and take ownership of their work. Help shape the company as an early employee and create the future of manufacturing with the best team on the planet!

What You’ll Do

This role offers the opportunity to design and manufacture visually striking, high-performance products that meet customer needs and industry standards:

  • Design and develop end-of-arm tooling and robotic grinding system enclosures with a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create detailed CAD models and drawings, preferably using Fusion 360.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and software engineers, to ensure product feasibility and functionality.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturing processes such as CNC milling, turning, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety and performance standards while maintaining a competitive price point.
  • Contribute to the development of prototypes and production models, ensuring design intent is preserved through the manufacturing process.

Who You Are

  • Proficiency in CAD software (preferably Fusion 360).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC milling, turning, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Expertise in design for manufacture (DFM) principles.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and the ability to balance design with cost considerations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of additive manufacturing techniques and applications.
  • Experience in designing industrial machines and enclosures
