We have received details about the initiative from Chris Johnson, the Employer Engagement Officer at Capita TP, which we’d like to share with the community. The Make It Digital traineeship programme is a course for young people aged between 16 and 24 who are not currently in work or employment, to give them a basic grounding in workplace and Internet-related skills, and for them to then spend approximately 3 weeks (100 hours) on supported work experience in a local firm. The course begins on 19th October and will last for 5 weeks, followed by the work placement. They are looking to take on roughly 10 candidates in the first intake. General information from the BBC about the broad Make It Digital initiative can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02kbpx4 Capita TP have provided a one-pager explaining the traineeship programme, including what skills the students will cover, which you can download from this page: http://www.capitatalentpartnerships.co.uk/our-services/traineeships/bbc/.
